THE HELPING HANDS KL (27th November 2015)

KUALA LUMPUR – The Helping Hands Kuala Lumpur for the very first time collaborates with Vendeur Festival organizing a non-profitable programme to the homeless around main city of Kuala Lumpur. The programme was held on 27th November 2015 targeting few locations in Kuala Lumpur City Centre that were identified to be the homeless gathering spot. Dataran Maybank, Mydin, Masjid Negara and Pasar Seni were chosen as the distribution area.

What we do? “Breakfast for Homeless” campaign were spreads throughout our social media network and offering volunteers all around Kuala Lumpur and Selangor to contributes & participates in providing a set of breakfast to the homeless and also during the distribution. ‘‘We are hoping that this initiative will helps grows awareness and motivates the society to engaged to this kind of activities. Picked from Mahatma Ghandi saying, the best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others.’’ says Ms. Nurerlin Md Zulkhairi, (Director, VF Prima Sdn. Bhd.)

WORLD’S AIDS DAY 2015 CHARITY BAZAAR (20th Disember 2015)

“The AIDS response is a shared responsibility and we are heartened to see the strong turnout of our partners and supporters at today’s World AIDS Day event. We look to strengthen these partnerships as we embark on the journey to Ending AIDS by 2030 that is undoubtedly paved with a myriad of obstacles and challenges,” remarked by Malaysian AIDS Council President Datuk Dr Raj Karim during the opening of the event.

The World AIDS Day 2015 event was held in collaboration with the Ministry of Health Malaysia and Yayasan Sime Darby as well as venue sponsor Encorp Mall Strand, and supported by ONE® CONDOM and Miss Universe Malaysia Organization.

A special charity bazaar presented by Vendeur Festival proved our commitment and support towards creating awareness, raising funds for the Malaysian AIDS Foundation and making Malaysians Living with HIV and their families feel they are an integral part of society by enabling life enriching support. From 60 over vendors had been showing their supports to the campaign by willingness to be part of this event. This is the second charitable collaboration in 2015, Vendeur Festival donated a portion of the proceeds raised from the charity bazaar to MAF.

DONATION #VFPRAYFORPANTAITIMUR (27th & 28th December 2014)

From late December 2014 onwards heavy rainfall caused widespread flooding in the Malaysian states of Kelantan, Terengganu, Pahang and Perak.

At least 21 people died in the floods, which forced 200,000 people to evacuate their homes. Malaysia’s National Security Council (NSC) said that the tragic floods in Kelantan were the worst recorded in the history of the state and left every citizen of Malaysia in shock.

Vendeur Festival has played their part by organising a flood aid donation during Vendeur Festival 3.0 Boxing Day which was held in Matrade Exhibition & Convention Centre, Jalan Duta.

“Malaysians are naturally concerned beings and together we strive to ease the victims' burden in any way we can” said En. Mohd. Asri (Director, VF Prima Sdn. Bhd.)

In collaboration with Mercy Malaysia represented by Scha Alyahya and Awal Ashaari (Malaysian’s top artist), there were over RM 70,000 collected during the event. Several local artists were also taking part in this donation such as Liyana Jasmay (Mermaid Luxe), Neelofar(Lofalens), Amy Search (Airish Miracle), Rozita Che Wan & Zain Saidin and many more.

Other than financial support, Vendeur Festival has launched a relief mission to East Coast Malaysia by collecting food supplies, clothing, hygiene parcels and miscellaneous items for those affected by the disaster. The collection reached approximately RM 25,000.00 worth of items and goods.
